About me

I'm a Principal User Experience Designer at Blackbaud, where I design tools that help nonprofits and social impact organizations engage their communities, raise funds, and drive meaningful change. For more than a decade, I've been building digital products that empower mission-driven organizations—from political organizing platforms to full nonprofit management ecosystems.

I originally came to design through video gaming, fascinated by the idea of world-building through interfaces. While studying graphic design for game development, an elective course in new media shifted my focus. I became fascinated by how technology shapes societies, influences behavior, and even affects geopolitical conflict. This led me to major in Interdisciplinary Computing and the Arts at UC San Diego, where I explored the intersection of technology, culture, and human experience.

I began my career designing websites for nonprofits, which introduced me to NationBuilder. Inspired by Jim Gilliam's vision of giving people the means to harness the internet for collective action, I joined as a product designer. After four years—and following Jim's passing—I moved to Blackbaud to work within a larger design team and broaden my impact. Over five years, I've earned three promotions, reaching the role of Principal UX Designer.

Throughout my career, one theme has stayed constant: I believe technology has the power to create meaningful impact by connecting people. I design with that purpose in mind—building tools that help mission-driven teams work smarter, engage their communities, and create change at scale.
